Workforce Strategy & Career Pathway Consulting
KBBBAC LLC works at the intersection of education, workforce, and industry — connecting people, institutions, and opportunity across K–12, community college, workforce boards, and employer systems throughout California and beyond.
Let's work together →About
KBBBAC LLC is the independent practice of Kathy Boyd — a career and technical education strategist, workforce ecosystem architect, and registered apprenticeship intermediary with a track record of building the systems, partnerships, and funding that move people into lasting careers.
Kathy joined OC Pathways' executive committee in 2013 and, upon becoming Executive Director of Career Education and Workforce Development at OCDE in 2018, drove the initiative to a new level — establishing the Career Counseling Coordinator role for secondary school systems across Orange County, a structure that continues to serve the region today.
She also established OCDE as a registered apprenticeship intermediary with both the federal Department of Labor and California's Division of Apprenticeship Standards — and co-founded Career Launch Path to extend that work beyond institutional walls. KBBBAC LLC brings that depth directly to clients: not a playbook, but a partner who has done the work, built the relationships, and knows the landscape from the inside.
Services
Engagements are tailored — no templates, no off-the-shelf frameworks. Every client gets the thinking the work actually requires.
Philosophy
"The bridge between education and a living-wage career doesn't build itself — and it doesn't hold without every system showing up."
KBBBAC LLC exists because workforce systems work best when they are designed from the learner outward — not the institution inward. The most durable career pathways are built through honest partnerships, shared accountability, and a willingness to cross sector lines. That is the work. That has always been the work.
